Hotel Branding
Branding style guide for a fictional hotel located in the heart of Sultanahmet, Istanbul. Safiye Sultan was a prominent figure of an era known as the Sultanate of Women. An era where wives and mothers of sultans would hold great social and political influence during the Ottoman Empire. The Safiye highlights women in history where much of the time little is known or they are written out completely. The Safiye uses primary colors as those were colors of royalty. The ornate designs as well as the golden yellow accents are heavily influenced by Turkish culture. The main design challenge that was present in this project is how to utilize design trends with a brand that focuses on tradition and history.
